A New Life
This ring commemorates strength and celebrating another chance of living life to its fullest.
“I decided to give new life to an old piece on the occasion of my '25 year Survivorversary'. Although it is white gold, rather than the usual silver marking 25 years, it seemed like the right way to honour the occasion. At the age of 29, with a 16 month old toddler, I suffered a serious heart attack while at an after-school workshop. Years later I also have an implanted defibrillator, a life saving invention, and a result of Heart and Stroke Foundation Research in collaboration with St. Michael's Hospital. Everyone should know the signs and symptoms of heart attack and stroke, it just might save the life of yourself, or someone you love. I am thrilled with the results of my design ideas, along with the creativity and expertise of the team at Dana's. It is the 3rd creation we have enjoyed giving new life to, and so fitting as 25 years ago, I was given another chance at life.”
