A Series of Daydreams

Our client's story is best told in her words.  We collaborated with this couple to design her 'cherished little time capsule.'

"As a creative, every time I see this ring, I am so thankful that my husband chooses to love me by constantly investing in my imagination!" 

Designing the ring was really this couple's first big decision they made together and they saw it as a celebration of their first step towards a lifetime commitment of loving one another despite some of life's tough challenges. They wanted the engagement ring to feel classic, a touch vintage and yet fresh. Most importantly, it had to feel sentimental and personal. 2 themes really blossomed out of a series of daydreams: the ginkgo leaf and a compass."

"I grew up loving nature, flowers, trees, and reading war stories. My husband also loves backcountry camping and history. During our relationship, I developed an interest in learning about fauna symbolism and I was exceptionally fascinated with this story about the Hiroshima bombings during WWII. After the bombings, little was left standing but these ginko trees survived because of their exceptionally deep roots. The ginko has since become a symbol of hope, longevity and endurance; a parallel reminder of the deep rooted hope and enduring love we have in the Christian faith we share. My husband and I also love spending our time together on the water.  We fell in love with a compass setting because not only did it remind us our nautical explorations, but it was also a reminder that God is our ultimate compass."
