This ring was designed with special meaning in memory of our client's grandparents. An opal and garnet cocktail ring given to her grandmother by her grandfather was transformed into this beautiful ring. A Ruby was chosen as its centre gemstone, her grandmother's first name. She wanted a ring that held some vintage charm but could be worn every day. Her grandmother was elegant but loved gaudy, large and loud jewellery. She was 'larger than life' and our client wanted the ring to represent her spirit as well. The inside of the ring holds her initials and her year of birth and death. Beginning with sketches and throughout the process of design and manufacturing, we incorporated all aspects of sentiments and style.
